2011 Charlottesville Design House is open!

As you all know, I've been working on the marketing committee for the 2011 Charlottesville Design House. Yesterday morning, I met my totally amazing committee chair at the house for some last minute collateral trading and took a walk through the house. I was stunned. Last year's house was great, but this year's house is unbelievable. Even my chair's infant daughter loved it. She even started clapping when we walked into Ami Smith's tween bedroom on the second floor.

The Top Hat Gala last night was so much fun. Robert Radifera was there to document the event an I'll point you towards the pictures when they come out. Robert also photographed the entire house earlier this week. I try to share a few of his beautiful images later. For now, I'll tease you with one of my not-s0-great shots from Holly Joseph's dining room.

What once was a dark, red dining room is now a bright, airy space. If you plan on coming out, check out the before pictures first. I think you'll be amazed by what the designers have done out at Mint Springs Farm.

By the way, last year's house was sold by the end of the Design House week. This year's house just hit the MLS again. You can see what the house looked like when the family lived in it on the listing.
