Headed home

I've been writing blog entries this week from a hotel room in Loudoun County, Virginia, where I've been on a business trip (that sounds so adult...my dad took business trips). My schedule has been packed and I've barely gotten 5 hours of sleep each night. After a week of waking up at 5:30 AM so I can get in the car 90 minutes early for an appointment that should only really take 20 minutes to get to, I can't wait to get back to Charlottesville.

Six year ago, if you told me I'd live in a city this small, I wouldn't believe you. I was a big city girl. Charlottesville, though, can wheedle it's way into anybody's heart. It's a pretty amazing place.

I'll have a giveaway winner for you all by tonight! Check back!

  1. Yup, that's northern VA for you. It always takes 90 minutes to make a 20 minute trip. Have a safe ride home!

  4. Just came across your blog. I'll be adding it to my faves. I am a native Alexandrian that's been stuck in Western Pa for 20 years. My family and I are moving back to Virginia as soon as humanly possible. F'burg most likely although we checked out C'ville too.
