Martha, Martha, Martha

I ran into PetSmart over the weekend to pick up something for Baxter that I can only find there (I usually stick to indie pet stores). I stopped dead in my tracks at a huge Martha Stewart section in the middle of the store. I couldn't help myself. I started grabbing.

You know that I love the turquoise blue color that is part of her line of kitchen items and the Le Creuset Caribbean Blue is a great compliment. Now Baxter has accessories that continue the turquoise theme. Martha Stewart Pets stuff is at PetSmart and the items are mostly turquoise (there is some cream and red in the line, too).

Do you think there are so many items in this color because turquoise was deemed the "color of the year" by Pantone? Is it only a matter of time before some other color saturates the market? I haven't been "following" Martha's items long enough to know if she rotates her colors or if this one has been part of her line for a long time. Please tell me it will stick around!

  8. It's been her color for a while. When her line came out at Macy's it was largely this color and I am dying over that dog treat jar. I need that immediately.

  10. I did the same exact thing -- stopped dead in my tracks. I forced myself not to buy anything but I'm going back for the bolster bed. I can't stand it. Martha owns me.

  13. Oooohh, Jeanine! I'm so glad you posted about this. I might have to hit PetSmart tonight (I hope that's the one near me!). I'm with you, I prefer the local shops -- we have two great ones in Richmond -- but assuming PetSmart is around the corner, I'll be scoping out the selection shortly! I noticed she has outdoor furniture now at Home Depot...I didn't have a chance to check for accessories. I loved her outdoor accessories at KMart.

  14. Sharon, I don't think there were cat items...but some of the small dog collars might fit on a cat. :)

Letitia, PetSmart is about to start airing ads for the line, so I imagine all stores will have to have the stuff shortly!

Micah, yes to both! They had leashes, collars, and harnesses. I only wish the leashes were both thin and wide. They were only thin.

Risley, I had a slow feeder bowl by another company and I really liked it. The Martha bowl is made of a better material and I'm happy with it.
