  1. No!! Good grief. I love magazines - I don't understand why all the good ones are being shut down. There is nothing digital that can compare the experience of curling up with a cup of tea/glass of wine and a good magazine. Sigh.

  2. No Way!! After Southern Accents and Gourmet folded... I thought we were done! This is SO sad.

BTW= had drinks and dinner at Kimpton hotel in Atlanta last night and thought of you!

  4. It still amazes me that domino folded with all of the advertising they had. If they can go under, the more traditional mags are sure to go.

  5. Are you kidding me? I can't take much more. Sigh. My trips to Barnes & Noble are getting increasingly unsuccessful. I left last time without one single magazine. It's a travesty!

  6. I have to admit that I didn't buy Met Home, but it was one of the magazines (along with Arch Digest) that I flipped through when I visited my mother.

My mother might be a better example of the "average" subscriber than we are. She's down to Architectural Digest, Renovation Style, and Metropolitan Home. Okay, and Better Homes and Gardens, but I don't count that as a shelter magazine.

She canceled Home, House & Garden, and House Beautiful years ago. Maybe I need to get her a gift subscription to House Beautiful to get her into that again.
