Home decor knock offs

When I was in 9th grade, I had a short lived fascination with knock offs. The first time I took the train into the city to shop on Canal Street with my friends, I came home with an $11 Rolex. It was fabulous until it broke about three weeks later. I was a little leery of knock offs after that.

Last year, as I was slowly accumulating materials for my bathroom renovation, I found plumbing fixtures that could be considered knock offs. I came across some faucets that were styled like Kohler's Memoirs Stately line on Overstock.com. They were much less expensive, but in the end, I decided to go with the Kohler fixtures.

This weekend, I got to see the cheaper fixtures at a hotel. They're nice, but they are much larger and more clunky than the Kohler originals. I think I might have made the right decision.
